Elakkanthai Tank – Inland Fishing Initiative

The team visited the Elakkanthai Tank, one of the sites under our inland fishing project implemented in partnership with NAQDA (National Aquaculture Development Authority).

This initiative is helping local families, especially women and those in female-headed households, build sustainable livelihoods through freshwater aquaculture. The team was pleased to see firsthand the impact of this initiative and spoke with beneficiaries who shared stories of improved income and wellbeing.
