Saving Newborn Lives in Sri Lanka’s Eastern District
In government hospitals across Sri Lanka’s Eastern District, newborn survival often
depends not on complex interventions—but on access to basic neonatal technology.
Premature birth, severe jaundice, and undetected hearing loss remain leading causes of
preventable death and lifelong disability. With targeted donor support, these gaps can be
closed quickly, affordably, and with lasting impact.
The First Hours Decide a Lifetime
For babies born this small and vulnerable, survival is determined not only by clinical
skill—but by access to basic neonatal technology.

Call to Action: Give a Newborn a Strong Start
Donors may sponsor a specific piece of neonatal equipment, fund a complete neonatal
screening and treatment package, or dedicate equipment in honor of a family member or
foundation.
All equipment is hospital-requested, clinically prioritized, and implemented with
accountability and reporting.
